My family does a motorcycle ride every year in memory of my brother who died in 1999. We have been doing this for 7 years. Each year I have been in charge of helping gather monetary donations as well as donations for the silent auction that we do. I also have been in charge of the registration table each year. After the ride is over I am involved in the final counting of the money and figuring out what we earned after expenses are taken out.

Having been in this capacity for the past 7 years has showed me how to handle money on a larger scale then I see normally in my day to day life. I have also learned how to think on my feet when gathering donations and/or working on registration. Sometimes I have to hand back change and I need to be able to do the math right in my head and not think twice about it.
